While smart city projects are taking shape around the globe, it is not always easy for cities to find the locations needed to build new infrastructure. The Lightwell startup, in cooperation with the city of Rotterdam, is proposing to transform the lampposts into a multipurpose object, capable of accommodating a charging station, 5G antenna, parking meter. Peter-Paul Metz, CEO of Lightwell, explains the benefits of this type of structure.
